Webflow Conf 2023 has introduced new updates and features to improve design and development capabilities. New features includeimproved collaboration, localization, enhanced design capabilities and the next generation of Webflow applications.

1. native integration with spline
Spline is a web-based 3D design software that allows users to create animations, visual models, and interactive experiences. Webflow integrates Spline so that in the future it will be possible to control native 3D animations via Webflow.
2. localization & multilingualism
Webflow Localization allows businesses of any size to customize their websites for visitors from all over the world. With Webflow Localization, you can customize any content on your website for a specific location. This feature is available now for Enterprise customers and partners, and will be available to all customers next month.
3. variables
Variables store values such as colors, fonts, and sizes. With variables, design work can be implemented in a much more modular and consistent way. This feature is an important innovation, especially for websites that need to scale, and is basically the basis for creating a working design system. This function is available in Designer as of today.
4. components are updated
The Webflow components have become more powerful and user-friendly. After the justified criticism of the components last year, Webflow has improved them from the ground up and optimized them in terms of UX and better scalability. Teams building on components also have more options with the introduction of slots. Slots are mutable placeholders within a component that allow the component creator to build in flexibility from the start.
5. improvement of teamwork
Webflow has invested heavily in improving teamwork. The latest version of the commenting feature allows for quick feedback in the context of the build to drive projects forward, and the free commenter role allows certain team members to be restricted to "comments only" in Webflow.
